FAQ

  • What should I wear? (female headshots)

Try to avoid anything that would draw attention to it. For example, a top with a bold pattern would immediately draw someone’s attention away from you and your expression. Instead, they are focused on your top. To avoid this, I always suggest wearing solid colors. Ultimately, we want people to see YOU and not your shirt. Layers are good! FYI, your shoes don’t matter, its a “head” shot, but if those heels make you feel like you own the world, WEAR them!!

Feel free to bring multiple options if you are undecided. We can choose when you are here.

  • Should I accessorize? (F)

Necklaces, earrings, scarves, etc., will always draw the viewers attention away from you. The goal is for the “viewer” to feel a connection with you when they view your Headshot. That connection happens with your eyes and expression. If you like to wear earrings, I suggest wearing small studs so they are not a distraction.

  • Makeup?

I suggest slightly more than everyday makeup. Please bring your powder and lip color for touch ups, or anything else you may want! In addition, be mindful of clothing wrinkles (keep clothing hung) and lint.

  • What should I wear? (male headshots)

FYI, your shoes don’t matter, it's a “head” shot, but if those dress shoes make you feel pulled together, WEAR them!!

  • Should I accessorize? (M)

Accessories will always draw the viewer's attention away from you. The goal is for the “viewer” to feel a connection with you when they view your Headshot. That connection happens with your eyes and expression. Remember to even think about your watch, a glimpse of it can be great but maybe if its a fit bit, we can reconsider

  • When should I book my maternity session?

I book Maternity sessions at around the 30-34 week mark. This allows for us to try to avoid early delivery, swelling and yet still have a great baby bump!

  • How do I book a newborn session?

Newborn sessions are booked based on your due date. Once you deliver, you can send a text, email or call me from the hospital and we will set the official date and time of your session. Sessions are done in my studio (address below) on weekdays, typically morning.
